Our pasts do not DEFINE us, but they do form who we are. I have always been a sensitive person, but also very logical. But there is no logic in emotion and no emotion in logic, but it's what we humans are. We are both. We must have both. My life has been trying to make everyone else I love happy, failing, and being punished for it. Balancing reasonableness and passion has been very hard for me.
